Please arrive 5–10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This ensures we have enough time to complete a brief intake of your symptoms and needs before your session begins.
Parking is located behind the Riverside Plaza building on the “second floor” with direct access to Suite 231 (no stairs). Walk through the entrance doors. Then enter through the doorway immediately on your left into Unit 7. The office is the first door on the right.
If you park in the lot for “Fab Salon”, enter into the Riverside Plaza building on the far left of the lot, take the stairs one floor up, and turn right into the new lobby space featuring Unit 7 and Suite 231.
Just relax and breathe. Feel free to close your eyes and enjoy the experience. It's not uncommon to fall asleep. Your therapist may guide you with gentle instructions if needed; no need to help with moving your limbs unless otherwise instructed. Always communicate if you’d like more or less pressure, a change in temperature, or if you have questions. I welcome polite conversation during body work, however, know that if my awareness is with speaking with you, my intention of "speaking with" your tissues may be hindered.
In some cases, yes. Particularly if you have scheduled a Lymphatic Drainage massage, there are many health conditions which contraindicate such work. It’s important to inform your therapist of any medical conditions or medications before your session. If you’re under a doctor’s care, a written recommendation may be necessary. Your safety and well-being are always the top priority.
Come dressed in comfort. I will instruct you to get undressed to your level of comfort, whatever that means to you, and to get under the sheets as I leave the room. For some that means going in the nude, for others that means fully clothed. We can work with and around whatever boundaries you and your body may have. You will always be draped professionally and tightly, and nothing will ever be exposed that does not fall within those parameters. Makeup tends to get smeared in the face cradle, so take note if you plan to leave directly from session to a scheduled event.
Take it easy! Give your body time to absorb the benefits of the massage. Rest, stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous activity for the remainder of the day if possible.
Massage stimulates circulation and helps release toxins from the muscles. Drinking water helps flush out those toxins, supports hydration, and can reduce any soreness you might feel afterward.
Yes, especially if you had deep tissue or therapeutic work. You might feel sore—like after a workout—for a day or two. This is your body’s natural response to the release of tension and muscle manipulation. Gentle stretching, hydration, and a warm bath followed by application of regional ice can help ease the soreness.
It's best to wait at least 12–24 hours before engaging in intense physical activity. Your body needs time to recover and recalibrate after the session. Light movement, like walking or stretching, is usually fine.
You can, but it’s a good idea to wait an hour or two if you can. This allows the oils or lotions used during your massage to continue nourishing your skin. A warm (not hot) shower or Epsom salt bath later in the day can help enhance the benefits.
It depends on your needs and goals. For general wellness and stress relief, once or twice a month is a great routine. If you're working through chronic pain, injury recovery, or high stress levels, your therapist may recommend more frequent sessions. It is recommended to re-book prior to leaving your session if you have a treatment plan in mind.
Absolutely, but opt for something light and nourishing. Your digestion may be more sensitive immediately after a session, so avoid heavy or greasy meals.
At this time, I do not accept traditional health insurance. However, I do accept auto injury and workers' compensation claims. In such cases, payment for services rendered are due at the time of service, and you will be reimbursed through the claim. If you're seeking reimbursement through your insurance provider, I’m happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) and SOAP notes for your session. Please just let me know prior to our session if you require either of these. *If you receive a prescription for massage from your doctor, it may be possible for you to deduct this as a medical expense when you file taxes.
Cancellation & Late Arrival Policy
I understand that life is unpredictable, and emergencies or unexpected situations can happen. If you experience a true emergency or unavoidable issue, you will not be charged—your well-being always comes first. However, in fairness to all clients, I kindly ask that you provide documentation if requested.
To ensure I can serve everyone effectively and respectfully, the following policies are in place:
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows me to offer the time slot to another client.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $40 late cancellation fee.
No-shows will be charged the full session rate.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late for your appointment, your session will still end at the scheduled time to avoid impacting other clients’ appointments.
If there’s still enough time to begin a massage, we will proceed with the remaining time.
The full session fee still applies, regardless of the adjusted duration.
Please be mindful of your appointment time and plan accordingly. Your punctuality and consideration are greatly appreciated and help create a peaceful experience for all.
